As title say, I have the 520 remote & a Konka TV

Everything seemed to be set up fine until I tried activities - watch DVD
DVD player turned on, TV turned on, DVD starts playing, TV wont change to AV2.

presed help on the remote, went through that for a while, still no luck.
Same for the WatchVideo (runs on channel 7 on TV)
Same for WatchPVR (runs on AV1

Devices - TV - page2 - TvVideo changes to from tuner to AV1 to AV2 just fine

Any ideas on how to get 'Activities' to change the TV input ? (web setup was done correctly)

you need to go into the input settings for your tv inside your account. more than likley, it does not have the correct input switching method or commands selected. go through and match everything up to the way your tv works. let me know how that works.

tried pretty much every possible combination (that I can think of) all to no avail :smileysad:

I am thinking it must be that the original remote uses a single buttom to cycle through the 3 modes.

Next step I guess is look for an IR controlled switch box that will work with the 520 model.

Any suggestions ?

in the database for my tv, there are two commands for scrolling through inputs (although I use the direct input switching method - despite it not being a feature on the original remote).  those two commands are InputNext and NextInput.  One works and the other doesn't.  make sure that the command you've selected to scroll through your inputs (if that is the method that works for you) is the correct, functional command.

I suggest you check out this thread for instructions to see if direct input switching will work for your tv, as that is a possible (and cleaner) solution as well

WannabeActuary, thanks for youyr help, all to no avail I am afraid, but fear not, today I hooked the remote up to the computer, logged into the setup site, and there is a new setup for the harmony 520 to do with changing from tuner to av1 to av2, and the **bleep** thing works with activities as it is supposed to, quite happy I is (as is the missus :smileyhappy:

Only prob I have is 4 devices, and only 3 TV inputs, but seeing as how the 520 can turn devices off I can hook the playstation and DVD to the one input and all will be good ...

cya,

Paul
