I did not receive an update notice. I checked settings/About/System updates this morning and was presented with the ability to update. I clicked the download button, the download bar appeared for a few seconds and was replaced by Restart required. I rebooted twice with the same results. I was never able to download the update. Normal Internet browsing with Chrome worked fine. I know others have experienced this issue.
I performed a factory reset and went through the initial setup. I got stuck on step five downloading updates. Every few minutes the Revue would reboot and return to the step 5 screen. I assumed Logitech's Internet connection and/or mirrors were overloaded and left the Revue to keep trying. When I checked again it was still in the same loop.
I tried two different access points in case the download problem was something about the AP config. I switched the Revue to a wired connection on the same initial AP/router used for WIFI and was able to complete the update. Are you only allowing updates when a wired connection is present? If not, apparently there is an issue with updates over WIFI at least with my config.
Once the Revue was done updating to 2.1-update1 and booted up, I went back into settings/About/System updates and found I had lost the ability to download 3.1. Do I need to wait for the next update sweep at this point?
Thanks,
Karl

I too would like to chime in...
I was offered the update on Sunday night. I started it. First I saw a triangle with an exclamation point inside and a progress bar below it. After just a second, the progress bar went away. I was left with the triangle for about twenty minutes. At that point, I reset the machine since, clearly, nothing was happening. Booted up to 2.1. No option to update can be found. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Give this a try
Cat logitech posted this in responce to user with this situation
I have seen a couple of reports of this and I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Can I have you do the following steps?
1. Go to settings
2. Go to Network
3. Forget your current network if wireless
4. Unplug your Revue
5. Unplug your router for 1 minute
6. Plug in your router and allow it to start up
7. Plug in your Revue
8. If nothing happens do a Factory reset on the revue by holding the button on the back until you see a picture of a TV with a down arrow.
9. Go through the setup again

The advice worked like a charm! I did have to go all the way through the factory reset, but it worked. I did lose the 2 finger scroll. Common problem? I have not searched the topic yet, but just figured I'd ask. It's a really big pain in the a$$... not a deal breaker.
Thanks Again,
Josh

Didn't work for me. I went through what was suggested and after the factory reset I had the same download problem, stalled at step 5, except this time I only tried a wired connection. After several reboots it finally started downloading and was able to begin installing the 2.1 OTA. Somehow it failed during the installation and bricked my Revue. No recovery mode access, only the white triangle and exclamation point of death.
I talked to Logitech and they're sending me a new Revue. It's tough but this stuff happens. Someone has to be a statistic
. The Logitech support guy was professional and apologetic then arranged to get me a new Revue. Overall I'm disappointed but happy with how Logitech handled the situation. Hopefully it will come preloaded with 3.1...

Sadly, I'm in the same Step 5 loop. I'm holding on the phone for support now.
I've worked phone support queues before. I don't envy them today.

After 45 minutes of waiting to talk to someone, my call was disconnected.
I'm moving past sympathetic into angry range now.

Hi CatLogitech
Basically, I had the issue where the download button in Settings >> About >> system update did nothing. I then tried to do a reset through the menu, and got an error about System Service not being available (or something similar).
At this point I did a hardware reset (Pull power, hold down link/reset, wait for it to reset)
I got a quick progress bar indicating an attempted download, then a white triangle with ! in it.
Then the setup wizard started.
I get to step 5, and it says "downloading, the download will take about 10 to 15 minutes"
Then (after about 10 minutes) I get the confetti bootup screen, and it re-connects and tries again.
This has been going on for a little over 4 hours.
I should add, that having worked a call center, I definitely understand the issues and difficulties in what is effectively "release day" I don't envy anyone on that end. The disconnect was a bit disheartening though.
