Android Marketplace Update Failure

I've been getting notified of an android market update for some time now. Weeks ago, I saw the Android Market get updated on my Android tablets to "Play Store". 

 

Anyway, whenever I try to update the android market on my Revue, which also happens whenever I try to access the android market, I get prompted telling me that there is an update for it. The screen is dominated by a box that says "update". It will run indefinitely until it fails. 

 

So right now I cant add any apps and once this sure-to-fail update starts, I can't use my Revue due to latency caused by this attempted update.

 

How do I get around this?
