I am very disappointed to have been bought this product (Logitech Revue). I bought it in February in USA and only worked well for a month, until the google update the android market to “google play”, and from there took a little over two months writing in this forum, in which no moderator in Logitech has kindly response (public or by PM) to give an official position when you are going to solve this problem. I'm regretful for not have been bought the sony tv google. Logitech this not only damages the good image of your enterprise. Errors like this will make me think many times before I will buy a product of yours.
If you produce something, at least support properly! And if the problem is severe, give feedback to users!!! But not to remain silent so long to respond to consumers who believed in your brand and once bought their products. This silence from you is a lack of respect for consumers.

Forgive my insolence if this has already been said....
But for those of us having issues with the update have you tried or made sure at least:

Tip: Unable to Update from "Market" to "Google Play Store" App,
.........Go to “Settings" > “Account & sync” > “Manage accounts” (make sure “Background data” & “Auto-Sync” are checked).
The key for me in fixing this issue was:

...not sure how my Background data got unchecked, as i previously updated fine no problems..and really do not recall unchecking this...maybe last update did this?
...prior to re-checking Background data i went to the Google Play store and attempted to manually download the Play store update with no success...keep in mind i attempted to auto update for easily a month with no success while a friends revue updated no problem...
Yes this is simplistic but again i missed it and now fixed it just as simply as i missed it...wait...huh?
Just my two cents...please no harshness...again maybe a simple fix for some...

What worked for me was disabling "auto-sync" and "background data" (both were checked), and then re-enabling them.

alxz310, as AntonC mentioned a few weeks ago -- in his most recent posts to this topic -- you need to call Logitech Revue customer support at +1 866-954-5644 and open a trouble ticket. This will get the ball rolling a bit quicker on the solution and may just resolve the problem for you too.
Over the phone, they will have you go through the usual bit of basic testing that you've probably already done many times - just do it again, for the sake of following standard trouble-shooting procedures. Your phone call may take 30 minutes, it may take 60 minutes or it may even take an hour and a half -- set aside some time in your schedule for this call. Opening a ticket (as AntonC suggested) will make Logitech MORE aware of the issue and may help speed along the resolution for you AND everyone else.
Also as AntonC wrote earlier in this thread (or was linked to, earlier in this thread), that this forum is primarily a user-to-user support forum. Translating that, it means that sometimes the left-hand doesn't always know what the right-hand is doing. ie; If you cannot find a solution on the Support Forums, attempt to receive a solution by calling Customer Support. View both forms of support as if they are separate. YMMV.

I called tech support today. After doing removing and readding my account, adding a new account, and factory resetting the device, they are sending me a replacement unit. Unfortunately after I send this one in.

I tried all the different methods, and was about to try sideloading it. Before doing so, I removed my gmail account from Accounts & Sync, then re-added it. It instantly downloaded and updated all my apps, including Google Play. Mine is back up and fully functional now.
It may not work for you, but it's at least worth a try if you haven't already.

thank you! i dissabled this options and then enabled and works fine. Google play updated!

Hey Logitech, any updates on this issue? It has been 2 weeks since bad units were sent to you. It is coming up on 3 months since my Revue first stopped working correctly (first it was the Youtube app update failure, now its that plus EVERYTHING else since the PlayStore is broken).
