My Market would not update, and I tried all of the tips noted here.  It turned out to be my Motorola SBG900's firewall.  It finally updated after I used my phone's hotspot with the Revue.  After hooking back up to the SBG900, I was then unable to use Google Play.

 

I tried using a Linksys WRT54G, with the WRT54G firewall still in place, but bypassing the SBG900's firewall and that did the trick..

After a couple months of waiting for the fix I finally decided to call Logitech support.  The agent asked what I tried and then had me create a new Google account.  Of course that did not work either.

 

She told me the only thing I could do is wait for GOOGLE to fix the problem.  Are we really waiting on Google?

 

I really want this fixed.  While I am replacing it, I would still like to use in the bedroom.  If Logitech or Google refuse to fix this expensive paperweight, can we at least get it replaced with one that works?

The reason that this is failing for everyone here is because there were actually two different packages OTA'd. 

 

one version that was released first and sent to some units (Link has since been removed, but was active all the way up until at least 3-16-12)
http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/logitech_ka/33d0dd757077.mp-signed-ota_update-b61925....
and then a second version that was sent to most units:

http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/logitech_ka/595554bcc67a.mp-signed-ota_update-b61925_... 

 

The second version (with the exact same build number) has _relapks added to the end of the file name. (Release APKs) Since this build doesn't have the option to install manually from recovery, there is no way for us to get these release apks on to our units.

1. If you've tried everything written previously in this thread and your SYSTEM apps still do not update, you quite possibly have the first 3.1 OTA release.

2. The second release, "595554bcc67a.mp-signed-ota_update-b61925_relapks.zip" is the good one.

3. The symptoms of the first release are the same as what most everyone else in this thread has already described in detail, your SYSTEM apps fail to update (see attached photo)

4. The solution was posted in Message 125 and 126 and 134. If you call Logitech Revue customer support at +1 866-954-5644 and run in to the same problem as Message 133 did, call back to reach a different support specialist -- one that CAN help to resolve your problem. OR, you can wait for the http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Revue/Google-confirms-Revue-getting-3-2/td-p/792171 OTA and hope that resolves the issue for you.


As P1X3L previously wrote in Message #136 and to further his statement...

If you received the GTV 3.1 OTA prior to Monday, December 12, 2011, you probably received the problematic version...
33d0dd757077.mp-signed-ota_update-b61925.zip

If you received the GTV 3.1 OTA after Monday, December 12,2011, you probably received the good version...
595554bcc67a.mp-signed-ota_update-b61925_relapks.zip

Thanks, id242.  I didn't realize the problem was due to a bad OTA of 3.1 -- I thought it was a bad update of Google Paly.

 

So is an RMA the only solution if you got the bad OTA of 3.1?

If it is just a matter of getting the right ROM, why doe Logitech not just send the damned thing out already.
