I had the same issue when I first booted up my box on Friday. It took about 30 mins ,easily, for the update to download and after it was done it went black screen for a moment. Then to GoogleTv logo appeared briefly then flash black screen once again. I figured it was related to the update and perhaps it was still just applying the update, so I let it sit, and sit, and site and so forth. Total time 20 minutes and still nada.
I rebooted once and yet again the same result. Twice..Three times, nothing. I was for sure that it was a defective unit and was about to start the mundane and painful process of exchange via email.. I have worked professionally in the IT field for quite some time, and have experienced quirky issues when new devices are attached to pre-existing power strips that are on the edge of replacement, so off goes the surge suppressor and on went a new one. Revue booted fine after that. No problems so far.
It may have just been a coincidence with the surge suppressor or not. Either way its working fine now. I would however explain to your wife that because this particular Revue box is not working she cannot deliver the winning blow to the war over your TV. Just merely a minor skirmish victory until you get a replacement. Don't give up, so is the life of an early adopter.

TIP:
If you hold down the home button icon on the keyboard for a few seconds it will pull up the standard android multitasking/ "recent apps" view. This allows you to change between apps quickly as well as close out apps.
TIP:
Cntrl+Alt+Del will reboot the machine

Also holding down Ctrl+Tab or Alt+Tab will bring up the apps currently running, so you can switch apps that way as well.
Another tip:
You CAN do Copy and Paste (at least on websites, havent confirmed in other apps). Click and hold to select text then use the Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl-V to paste it!

All,
I bought the Logitech device from Best Buy and setup was relatively smooth. However as noted by others, it is unable to stream anything from the major content owners which makes this a difficult choice. I also called their Support line, but that is for another time since the questions I was asked were rather strange..
Does anyone from Logitech who may be monitoring this tell us the following:
- any timeline to having access to websites like ABC, CBS etc?
- any timeline to having access to websites like Hulu?
- is it possible to load another browser or change some headers to make this work?
I know of at least 3-4 individuals who are thinking of returning this and going some other route.
Any direction from Logitech would help..
Thanks

I just tried the Netflix part in thisthis experiment and that is also blocked. It mentions that I can use this device to change my lists, but I have to go to a Netflix compatible appliance to view.
Is anyone else having this problem or are there gremlins in my ethernet? I have sent in an email to Logitech support, but no response so far.
Does Logitech monitor this board?
Thanks

I was wondering about Netflix too. I was frusterated last night when I coudnt stream directly from netflix.com- I thought that I would be able too. Then it occured to me this morning that maybe it had to do with the fact that I had messed around with the user agent in the browser.
So I guess that we are blocked from netflix as well and are forced to use the app?
If so- this is getting a little rediculous.

For DirecTV:
Hold down the FN button and hit FF/RW for the 30second skip/backup feature.
Cheers!
