Re: FAQs, How-to Videos, Tips & Tricks Blog

[ Edited ]

I am unable to get Logitech Revue running in my TV. It ends up with a black  background screen and a white triangle with "!".

I bought this through Dish TV.  They are unable to help. Can you please help.

Hello up1,

I am sorry to hear that your Revue is having trouble getting setup.

The first thing I would like you to do would be to press and hold the button on the back of the Revue until you see a picture of a TV with a down arrow.

This is a factory reset.

If the issue continues to occur it would be best to call into the Revue Support team.

Re: FAQ, How-to Videos, Tips & Tricks Blog

thank you so much for the answers. it's like going to your accountant and asking if you have to file taxes. the answer is yes but you gave him all your tax info already and the only answer he can provide is "yes." a little help but not much. HOW do make what you've answered work on the revue

Using external speakers with Revue

I have  revue connected to a Comcast Xfinity RNG110 SET TOP BOX, a TOSHIBA 32C11OU1 flat screen TV, and hardwired with a cat 5 cable running from the Revue's controller to the Xfinity modem/router.

I also have a pair of  Acoustic Research wireless speakers which came with a small plastic dome shaped sending unit. There is a power cable and another cable with a minijack on the end. Also provided is an adapter with red and white RCA plugs. I can plug this sending unit into my TV using the mini plug or the two RCA plugs. Either way it doesn't work at all and the blue light on the sending unit doesn't light. I can, however, plug the two RCA plugs into the set top box and it does work, but only when I'm watching cable TV. It does not work, however, when I'm watching movies and other content from Netflix or Amazon Instant Videos using the Netlix and Amazon APPS within Revue.

Can anyone help me to get this pair of wireless speakers to work with the Netflix and Amazon APPS?

Re: FAQs, How-to Videos, Tips & Tricks Blog

Hi, I just purchased the Logitech Revue and I am trying to watch streaming video from a website I use all the time and the video will not play, I see the black box but the video never plays. The error I get in the Chrome browser is below:

Your connection to 4njbets.com is encrypted with 128-bit encryption.

However, this page includes other resources which are not secure.

These resources can be viewed by others while in transit, and can be modified by an attacker to change the behavior of the page.

The connection uses TLS 1.0

The connection is encrypted using RC4_128, with MD5 for message authentication and RSA as the key exchange mechanism.

The cOnnection is not compressed.

The server does not support the TLS renegotiation extension.

I have gone into the settings and set everything under privacy to allow all connections and added the site to trusted sites but still no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

move files from computer to revue wirelessly

I can access my computer through the Revue via Logitech Media Player, but I'm wondering if I can go the other way around? I.e., can I plug an external usb drive into the Revue and network into it from my computer to transfer videos over?

Um, why not just connect the USB drive to your PC?

At anyrate, while I have not tried what you stated exactly, but I know you can activate the Revue's FTP access, and then from the PC use an FTP client to "login" to the Revue and you would see it listed as "/ext_usb" or similar...

Re: FAQs, How-to Videos, Tips & Tricks Blog

My system repeatedly feezes with the Revue connected.  I get No Signal reading from my audio receiver which is the hub of my enteratinment system.

The only ting that works is disconnecting the Revue.

Any ideas
