It would not be an Andriod app it would be a Logitech app and done via DLNA Digital Living Network Alliance.

I'm sorry but I am a little slow tonight... then I will be able to access my movie content through the network but will be limited to 40GB? Or did I read that wrong and I will be able to access lets say 20TB worth of movie content through the network... as long as I am using an interface on my pc or server such as the latest windows media player... Obviously I am looking for an interface to play movies locally through my network and I am wondering if this is a clean solution outside of other current alternatives....

Yes you will be able to access any media connected to to your computer via DLNA. The 40mb limit was for Drives attached to the Revue but that limit is now 895mb.

Thank you so much for the information... I have attached a link for DLNA just so others can view what exactly it means just in case they do not...
http://www.dlna.org/digital_living/how_it_works/
Does the interface on the device have the ability to sort content and display movie information and trailers without having to have the movie cover image, movie information or trailer in the movie folder as other interfaces can or is the GUI more of a shell than anything else? Thanks again... I am one step closer to buying one tomorrow...

Couldn't you use something like this for OTA television?
http://www.amazon.com/Kworld-HDmi-External-Digital
The Revue would not change channels for you but it should pass the signal through. In the Sony store they told be the same thing for Tivo - you could run it through the Google TV box, but you'd have to use the Tivo remote. So unless I am mistaken you don't get the full power of the device, but instead you layer all the apps on top of it.
Would love to know if I am wrong in this.

Yes the recessed button labeled TV at the very top just to the left of the touchpad. Next to it are buttons to also toggle power for your Set Top Box and Audio Video Receiver.
