Re: Google Plans Annual TV Software Updates

Logitech won't be doing updates to the GoogleTV anymore according to the head of GoogleTV at Google.  Google is going to take over so in theory they should be more in line with when Sony gets software rolled out to them.

Hello everyone,

We are committed and have delivered the 3.1 software release to all Logitech Revue boxes.  Google TV drives the software roadmap. Logitech cannot comment on future versions of the software at this time.

Re: Google Plans Annual TV Software Updates

So please put this in plain englis for me, Logictech as a company is no longer supporting this product?  What does Sony getting software to Google got to do with anything, Sony has their own TV device.....Are they going to be the same now...Did I just buy an obsolete product?!

Here is an excerpt that may help clear things up:

"It is important to note that Logitech remains committed to all of its Logitech Revue customers and will continue to provide them with customer support under our warranty policy. We will also continue to support the Media Player, TV Cam, Keyboard Controller and Mini Keyboard."

Re: Google Plans Annual TV Software Updates

I've read that Sony is getting the new Honeycomb 3.2 update, should we (Revue owners) expect the update too?
