Yes. I received an update from the android market on my Revue for Google Play. 

 

However I don't really notice anything new after the update - except for the name change.

Mine even do not update.

Since yesterday could not login to Google Market /Google Play

Guess this because I am not in USA

Hello myshyak,

 

Our engineers are looking into this as they have come across some people unable to update, but we cannot guarantee anything with the Revue outside of the US.

Same problem here; i can't update the market (and i can't install new software by Android Market).

Also, app like gallery, netflix and many others aren't updated.

I was hoping there was a proxy setting for trying to connect with a USA proxy but there isn't.

So i think there is nothing i can do :smileysad:
When will this be available in Europe?

System apps (e.g., youtube, market, TV & Movies for Google TV) cannot be updated on many revue boxes at this time including mine.  So we will no longer have access to the Android Market seeing there is no way to bybass the market update.  If I had to guess, if we had root, we could just delete the current apks for these apps and the updates would install with no problem.

Play (Market), plus many other apps have disappeared from my Revue in the last day or two (Napster, Pandora, Photos, TV and Movies, and Twitter, plus every single app that I've downloaded from the Market [or sideloaded]). Widgets associated with missing apps are also (obviously) gone.

 

Coincidence, or related to Play/Market changes?

 

Also, I can't access the internet - I just get a white screen when I try (no url appears when hovering pointer at bottom of screen, either), and yes, I still appear to to be conected via wifi, the same as always

Hello FitzAusTex,

 

Usually if you cannot access the internet those Apps will sometimes not load themselves. Have you tried forgetting your network then trying to connect again? Have you tried a factory reset yet?

I am in the US and can no longer use my $300 Revue. I know some people paid $99, but I did not. I can no longer use the Revue as the Market is stuck in an update loop (update/update unsuccessful). I have been unable to update any system apps and now the Google Play issue has rendered the box more or less unusable. Are you planning to fix it? If yes, are you planning to fix the issue quickly? Quite honestly I could live without the Revue as I have it hooked to an HTPC anywyay, but I will miss the remote features. Could I go buy a Logitech remote? Sure, but since I have seen how Logitech supports their products I am not willing to throw good money after bad and buy another Logitech product. I am hoping that choose to fix the issue with the broken Revue's in a timely manner.

Our engineers are currently looking into the issue about the Google Market to Google Play not updating. I have not heard any other update then this and I do not have an ETA right now. You can call  into Revue support if you wish, but they will tell you the same thing though this will make a ticket if you wish to follow this. As soon as I get more information though I will update people.

 

If anyone is a beta tester with this issue then please contact your beta testing contact here at Logitech.
