Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

Looks like there is (indirect) confirmation of a 3.2 release by Logitech.....see Google TV team post on Feb 29 in the comments section at

Hopefully, the 3.2 scope is the same as that released for the Sony Google TV and that it will be soon!

Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

Maybe the Google TV dev team has taken the main update responsiblities from Logitech!  Because I don't see how Google could make such claims given Logitech's abandonment of the entire Google TV platform.  That or Logitech is bound by contract to do updates for fixed amount of time.

Either way, it's welcome and unexcepted news.

Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

It was mentioned some time ago that google is not happy with the logitech support, and they are willing to take over the Logitech Revue updates from them.

Maybe it is now...hopefully.

Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

3.2 is out already.... but just like last time Logitech has not updated the Revue in a timely manner.  An of course they will not even comment on if they will be updating the Revue.  Customer Service for this device has been terrible, I don't understand their thought process on keeping their user informed.  I understand they would rather not support the device anymore but they claim to be committed towards it...if that's the case KEEP YOUR USER INFORMED!!!

Hello,

Logitech Revue boxes will receive the Android 3.2 software update, but we cannot comment on timing.

Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

Could Logitech at least comment on a vague time frame for the 3.2 update? Within 3 months? Within 6 months? Within 12 months?  I must own 2 dozen Logitech products, but I swear I'll think twice before I purchace another Logitech product... even if I think it's better.  I think I'll go with the next best product next time, both for me and my clients!

I have been a long time fan of Logitech, but I think they really screwed up on the Revue.  Not that it isn't a good product, but boy did they mess up when they dropped any interest in the smart tv market.  And the information they release to the consumers about the Revue update process is pitiful!  Out of 2 dozen Logitech products that I own and really like, including the Revue, they have pissed me off by their reluctance to support the Revue in any kind of timely fashion.

If you (Logitech) don't want to play in the Smart TV market, fine, but take care of your customers or you'll feel it in fewer keyboard, mouse, etc. sales. If you screwed up getting into the Google TV market, fine... your fault, not your customers. You almost act irritated with your customers even asking about updates!  I'll wait a while longer, but if this goes on too long, Logitech has lost one of their better customers for life.  I'm seriously considering holding a grudge!  Microsoft keyboards and mice can't be that bad.

Oh, and by the way, if you aren't going to take care of your customers, let Google take over the updating process.  I still like Google!

Re: Google confirms Revue getting 3.2?

Hello epbiggs,

We definitely understand our customer's anxiety about the update, but sadly we have no more information about the update release. Though once we get an update the community here will be definitely updated with that information.
