I have one central location for multiple devices/equipment for my home theater . TV#1 has set up of Harmony 900 remote & 1 main and 2 sub IR blasters. Now, I am thinking to add Revue for TV#2 in different room using the same Home Theater set up and use the current IR blasters. I want to work with Revue remote keyboard the same time I can use Harmony 900 also in working condition. My questions here are:
1. Is this possible?
2. If not do I need to buy separate IR Blaster for Revue?
3. Is there a way to make my android smart phone to work with current IR blasters?
Thank you in advance, ![]()

The Revue will not pair with the Harmony 900 RF directly, as the Revue uses an Unify Transmitter and the Harmony 900 is not a Unify compaitble device. However, you can enable interoperability between the two. All you need to do is enable Harmony IR input then add the Logitech Revue to your Harmony 900. This will allow you control the Logitech Revue via IR, obviously it will need line of site with at least on of the 900's IR blasters.
Also, yes, you can use either the Logitech Harmony or Google TV app with your Android to control the Revue via Android Phone.

1. Ok, so they won't work together, answer to my first question.
2. I like Revue because of the full keyboard, so I don't want to use Harmony 900 in lieu of Revue. Is there a way I can use devices in different room controled by Revue? - Still pending
3, Let me rephrase my question. Will the smart phone app work with HArmony IR Blaster? - Still pending
Thanks for the quick reply.

You misunderstand. They do work together over IR not RF.

The keyboard that comes with the Revue uses RF, so line of sight is not required as it is with IR.

If you're talking about the Harmony IR Blasters that come with the Revue, the answer is Yes.
If you're talking about the Harmony IR Blasters that come with the Harmony 900, the answer is No.

Now I am really confused. I wanted Revue to work with IR Blaster of Harmony 900. I guess, it is not possible, I will have to use IR blaster supplied with Revue.
My Harmony 900 is RF, it works through walls. IR Blasters need line of sight with devices to be controlled. My HT set up is in the basement with HT setup and I can use the remote upstairs in another room. Only the HDMI cable for TV#2 runs through walls.
Will the IR blaster pair with Harmony 900 as well as Revue at the same time?
My conclusion here is - Revue is RF and doesn't need line of sight to work. Works with IR Blaster supplied with Revue and not the IR Blasters supplied with Harmony 900. can Revue also work as IR remote?
It's kind of getting interesting.
What if I leave Revue with my HT setup and use keyboard with line of sight to control TV#2. Or do I need to place IR Blaster from Revue in line of sight with TV#2? How long is the cable for IR blaster supplied with Revue?
Efrezz thanks for all quick responses.

How about this...
The Logitech Revue can be controlled via
- RF: Included RF Keyboard and any Unify compatible device
- IR: Harmony Remotes
- IP: Smartphone Apps
The Logitech Revue can control over devices via:
- IR: Any device listed on the Harmony Database
- IP: Dish Network Receivers which are compatible with Enhanced DVR / Advance Intergration support.

Technically, the Harmony 900 is an IR remote as it controls devices via IR. Even though the Harmony 900 uses RF to communicate with its paired IR Blaster, it is the IR Blaster and the two mini-IR Blasters which sends IR signals to your AV equipment.

No. This is how they would work together...
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > IR > Revue > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > IR > Revue > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Revue > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Revue > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > IR > Revue > IP > Dish Network ViP 622, 722, or 722k HD DuoDVRs
or
Harmony 900 > RF > 900's IR Blaster > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Revue > IP > Dish Network ViP 622, 722, or 722k HD DuoDVRs

Might as well spell out the other combos...
Revue Keyboard or Unify Compatible Device > RF > Revue > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Revue Keyboard or Unify Compatible Device > RF > Revue > mini-IR Blaster > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Revue Keyboard or Unify Compatible Device > RF > Revue > IP > Dish Network ViP 622, 722, or 722k HD DuoDVRs
or
Google TV app > Smartphone > IP > Revue > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Google TV app > Smartphone > IP > Revue > Mini-IR Blaster > IR > Set-top Box, AV Receiver, or Television
or
Google TV app > Smartphone > IP > Revue > IP > Dish Network ViP 622, 722, or 722k HD DuoDVRs

I use 2 Y adapters to combine the IR signal from my 890pro and Revue so that on one emitter is required per device.
I prefer emitters to the mini blasters.
In any of your scenarios with the Revue where it does notnhave line of sight you would need to run an emitter or mini blaster to the TV.
You can buy a 2.5mm mono extension cable or
Just use any paired wire to extend the mini blaster though this would not be supported by Logitech.
It sure would have been nice if Logitech had used the unifing technology when the they dropped the ZWave protocol on the 900.
