Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

[ Edited ]

If your Logitech Revue has received the over the air update to Honeycomb 3.1 please comment below with the date you got the update.  Just looking to verify whether or not anyone with a Logitech Revue has actually received the update.

***This post isn't intended to discuss the upgrade or when it might be coming nor is it intended to discuss Sony products or upgrades.***

Re: Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

Again this is a double post and all post pertaining to the update realese should be done in one place in the Revue section. Seeing that it is weeks to months away both of these will be off the front page. One should be recreated when the update starts going out

Re: Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

I was under the impression that the upade will be rolling out and everyone will have gotten in by December 17.  Given that information I don't see any issue with posting this now.

Not sure where you are getting that info but this is from Blog.Logitech

As our CEO Guerrino De Luca stated earlier this week, Logitech will not manufacture new Logitech Revue units. That said, we do believe that consumers in the U.S. will be able to purchase the product during this holiday season. And all owners of Logitech Revue will receive the automatic and free update of Google’s recently announced updated version of Google TV, which we expect to roll out before the end of the year.

It is important to note that Logitech remains committed to all of its Logitech Revue customers and will continue to provide them with customer support under our warranty policy. We will also continue to support the Media Player, TV Cam, Keyboard Controller and Mini Keyboard.

We are very excited about the new release of Google TV, which includes access to the Android Market, faster and more comprehensive search capabilities, a simplified user interface and improvements to the Logitech Media Player. And we are optimistic about the long-term opportunity for the Google TV platform and the potential for Logitech to offer associated products as the ecosystem evolves.

Re: Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

So then you're effectively confirming that it will be weeks or months before we see the update...despite the fact that many Sony devices have already received the update.  What exactly is the hold up here????  I personally feel like Logitech could care less about Revue owners.

Re: Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

That had no excitement pinned to it.

As much as I don't say you were right but you were.

I didn't think they'd drop the ball on this. It is a shame really.

I guess you didn't realize that he was quoting the blog that was written by Ashish Arora, Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Home Group.  In fact, Towboy mentioned it with a clickable link on the sentance just before.
[Edit: Guess BGwalker's message got deleted, and TaylarieModerator also removed his quote from my message.  LOL.  Makes my message seem to dangle a bit.  Anyways, this was my reply to a response to Towboy having "our CEO" in his message.]

Re: Has your Logitech Revue been updated?

GOOGLE has droped the ball BIG TIME with this.

Its been  year already since the debut and with all that money GOOGLE is making GOOGLE has not updated the Logitech review software to proper and promissed functionality and content.

Now logitech is bailing out of Google tv due to GOOGLES lack of adecquate development of the platform which in turn signified a BIG lose for them.

Us users who have backed up this pony with our purchasse money will be left hanging on the backyard.
