A shuffle feature would be handy for the Logitech Media Player, or am I just missing it?

I agree!!!  How could this feature be missing????  Am I missing something?????  No reply???!!!!!

If you are playing a playlist or album you can click shuffle on the player in the top right hand of the screen. It looks like two wavey arrows pointing to the right. Third icon from the right hand side.

Repeat all songs is the second from the right hand side.

True!!!  But how do you shuffle your entire song collection as you can in Logitech Media Server for the pc!  I can create a random mix by genre.  It is a great feature greatly lacking in the Revue version.  When I shuffle I want to shuffle much more than a playlist or Album.  This should really be addressed to make this product useable.

Usually if you are in a folder you can select the big play all "Play" triangle on the bottom right hand of the screen.

Depending on the DLNA will determine if there are genres. You just go to the "Folder" section to see. 

You can also add things to a playlist by selecting the add under the big play symbol on the bottom right hand of the screen.

Well you would have to create a new playlist over and over.  Playlist top out at 500 songs.  I have tried selecting "MY Music" folder and playing with shuffle on...but it will only shuffle the album within the folder not the complete contents of the my music folder.

What I am asking for is an easy switch which woudl just create a shuffled mix of my entire music collection.  Is this funcitonality currently available.  If so I apologize for my ignorance, if not it should definetely be added as it is a major omission from your product compared to every other player I am aware of including Logitechs own Media Server software that I am currently listening to thru my squeezbox radio.  The shuffle (random mix) functionality works perfectly in that version.

The Logitech Media server automatically puts the limit to 500 songs at a time. Here are the steps to make the limit go up.

1. Start by opening the Logitech Media Server Control Panel.

2. Click on the Advanced Tab.

3. Click on the Advanced Settings button. A new window will open.

4. Click on the Advanced Tab in the new window.

5. Click on the drop down menu and select Performance.

6. Put the limit to what you would like.

7. Click apply.

Thank you for the feedback about the other testing I asked of you. We do not have a huge library here at the support center to test those types of playlists.

What about the playlist folder? Can you shuffle a playlist?
