Re: Netflix exited unexpectedly: EXITED_SIGKILL - How to fix it on Logitech Revue Google TV

There have been any number of reports concerning problems with Netflix.  There is a fine line between features and compatibility.  Android/Revue is prone to being affected.  The version of Chrome isn't the best implimentation.  While I can critisize Logitech in a lot of areas, this really is more at Google's feet.   It needs fixing; that is obvious.  Featuritis has always been a problem.  When you try to program to the cutting edge, what works today can be a problem down the road.  Been there; done that; got the bruises.

Hope Google upgrades Chrome and replaces Flash.  They are both iffy releases.  Not the best answer or what you wanted to hear, I know.  Mainline release use the processor in PC and SOTA Android to a degree that the Android processor of the Revue generation cannot match.  These releases are highly customized and prone to certain failures.

Hi Googleit,

Could you please try the steps listed below:

4) Scroll down until you see the Applications option

5) Click the OK key in order to open that option.

6) Open the Manage Applications option

7) Scroll down and look for the Netflix Application

8) Click the OK key to open it

9) Click on Clear data

10) Click on Force Stop

11) Press the Back key (The Arrow pointing to the left)

13) Scroll down and look for the TV&Movies Application

14) Click the OK key to open it

15) Click on Clear data

16) Click on Force Stop

17) Press and hold on your keyboard Alt+Ctrl+DEL until your Revue Keyboard in order to save the settings.

Try to use your Netflix Application once again.

Camacho,

I can confirm that this works to resolve the issue after the TV & Movies application updated which caused the Netflix application to return the EXITED_SIGKILL error.

Thanks so much! I had forgotten that the TV & Movies app had ties into Netflix for opening movies and shows that are searched through it.

Re: Netflix exited unexpectedly: EXITED_SIGKILL - How to fix it on Logitech Revue Google TV

hi JC1990,

I too have this problem. I followed all your steps. The only things I think may not have worked are

1) there is still a cache in the TV movies app. Should I also clear this?

2) I don't have an ALT button on my keyboard, just a shift key (I used Ctl+ALT+Shift) held it for 30 seconds, nothing happened.

The  numbers on the back of my keyboard are K700 FCC ID: JNZYR0014     IC: 4418A - YR0014

Any other ideas?!!!!

Thanks

Re: Netflix exited unexpectedly: EXITED_SIGKILL - How to fix it on Logitech Revue Google TV

Hi Letsgetitsorted,

You have the right keyboard for our Logitech Revue and that is very strange that you dont have that ALT key. So, just to double check, the ALT key should be on your right hand side next to your Space Bar and that makes me wonder what key do you have there next to your space bar?

Also, if you click on Clear Data under TV and Movies, all the cache should be erased but only the Total and Application should have some data.

I look forward to your reply.
