Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

Got the update this morning. No install issues other than having to do ctrl alt del reset to get the market to let me DL Google Music. Installed Evernote, and it works great. Will play with it more tonight, but so far seems pretty awesome. Lots of helpful info in the forum if you can get past all the pathetic whinging.

Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

[ Edited ]

I'm having the "The network is unavailable" "An erorr occurred while processing your request." or "Authentication failure" issue as it appears others are as well. My Revue is connected via a wired Internet connection and other devices on the same network are operating correctly.

I performed a factory reset as recommended earlier in this thread. Currently the Revue is stuck on the "Logitech logal notice" screen. When I try to accept the notice I get "The network is unavailable" error. Clicking "Retry" regenerates the same error. Clicking "Help" opens the connectivity troubleshooter and shows I hav ea successful Internet conneciton. Clicking "Cancel" kicks me back to the legal notice dialog which generates the error again if I try to accept it.

I'm guessing something is wrong with Logitech's servers? The update, which comes from Google, came through just fine. Before the factory reset I was also having this same error pop up any time the Logitech Harmony settings were being changed (which I believe pings a Logitech server as well).

Ideas?

Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

The registration process goes through Logitechs servers and I would imagine that they are stressed with everybody registering today. My advice would be to keep trying at different times.

Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

I got the update this morning without any problems. I hive wired ethernet and my download speed is only 1.5mbps - yet my update was finished in about 3 minutes or so.

I'm not sure if this made a difference in the update going smoother - but before I went to bed I did a soft reboot by pressing Ctrl + Alt + DEL. Then in the morning first thing I saw the notification that my update was waiting. I did the update right away.

Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

Hello tvangoethem,

Also make sure to try resetting your modem, router and Revue by following these steps.

1. Unplug your Revue

2. Unplug your router

3. Unplug your modem. Wait 1 minute.

4. Plug in your modem and let it start up

5. Plug in your router and let it start  up

6. Plug in your Revue and try again.

Re: Official 3.1 Update Feedback Thread

I too am having the network issues. I have a wired connection to my router. I have tried unplugging the router and revue, waiting 1 minute and plugging back in with the same problem. I have tried holding the button on the back of the revue until the googleTV with the down arrow appeared, then going through the setup again. This got me stuck at the network setup process, I left it overnight and somehow it detected my network. after going through the rest of the setup, it still cannot connect to my network/internet and therefore cannot control the DISH network box as well.

Any help is appreciated.

I too was on hold for about 50 minutes on Sat., at Logitech customer support closing time (2:30 PST), I was hung up on.
