I am so happy to hear this and look forward to recieving the update soon. Our family enjoys using the 'Revue' very much and I am confident that this much anticipated release will make using this wonderful device even better.

Thank you moderator.
I have two questions if you can tell us, I didn't see a reply from the users before.
1) Will the new update take more formats using the Media Player? Or possibly correct the current issues with some formatts?
Supported formats
Video (Format - Codec)
- 3GP - H.263, H.264, MPEG4
- AVI - MPEG-4 Part 2 (v1,2,3), DivX (v5), XviD, H.264/MPEG4-AVC
- MKV - MPEG-4 Part 2 (v1,2,3), DivX (v5), XviD, H.264/MPEG4-AVC
- MOV - MPEG-4 Part 2 (v1,2,3), DivX (v5), XviD, H.264/MPEG4-AVC
- M4V - MPEG-4 Part 2 (v1,2,3), DivX (v5), XviD, H.264/MPEG4-AVC
- MP4 - MPEG-4 Part 2 (v1,2,3), DivX (v5), XviD, H.264/MPEG4-AVC
- WMV - WMV3, WVC1

2) Do we need to go to SETTINGS > ABOUT and then update manually or the REVUE. Or is automatic where we get a message?
It will be automatic as indicated in a previous post
Please advice, I'm a really happy user...Always recommend this product.
Thank You
Cat

Will we need to go to settings/about/system update to obtain the update, or will it start once the unit is powered on?
Dear dangeorges,
You will get an automatic pop up that will tell you an update is available for download. You will then have the option to download it right away or put it off if you are in the middle of something like a movie.
Thank you! Again - I'm encouraged by the clear, unambiguous, solid informational updates.

Cat,
Will new/unactivated Revues automatically update to 3.1 upon initial activation, or will new/unactivated Revues have to potentially wait in the queue with along with those Revue owners who've previously activated?
Ashish Arora stated in his blog yesterday that "New customers are expected to receive the update upon activation":

Thanks!

I bought my Revue yesterday because of the announcement. I started it up and it updated to 2.1, so this is not the case. I'm still waiting on my update notification.

Oblivious87,
I think it depends on when you "started it up". An announcement was made yesterday that updates would start this week. I think, perhaps, that you may have activated just prior to the 3.1 update actually being available on the servers.
I'm willing to activate my new one, but would like to get some sort of additional information that the update is supposed to now automatically happen for unactivated Revues.
