Re: Revue and Crackle

Hello Edjan,

I was a little confused when you said that you are not able to move and that it keeps loading. This Post has clarified that doubt.

Here is what I would like you to do.

Open Google chrome and go into settings. In the settings menu, go down to history and clear the viewing history and cookies and try to re-load crackle. Do make sure that Crackle is close and not running when  you do this.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: Revue and Crackle

We're experiencing issues with Crackle as well. The app has completely disappeared and I can't seem to get it to load from the Crackle website.

Re: Revue and Crackle

Hello Edjan,

Do apologize for the delay in response.

May I get you to try the following :

1) Launch Google Chrome.

2) Press the "Menu" button on the Revue Keyboard. (This is the button located on the bottom of the revue keyboard and has 4 white lines.).

3) Select "Settings".

4) Select "Advanced Settings".

5) Select "Under the Hood".

6) Select "Adobe Flash Player storage settings..."

7) Under "Settings Manager" select "Website Storage Settings panel".

8) On the "Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager" on the right Select "Delete all sites" then select "Confirm" when prompted.

9) Under "Settings Manager" select "Global Storage Settings panel".

10) On the "Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager" on the right drag the slider to 10MB.

11) Ensure both "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer." & "Store common Flash components to reduce download times." are selected.

12) Press Ctrl+Alt+Del at the same time on the keyboard to reset the Revue.

Once the revue has been rebooted, try launching Crackle and let me know how it goes.

Re: Revue and Crackle

Hi Kiruban.  I tried the 2/11 steps, went Crackle, it started to play, so I let it go for awhile.  Then I backe out and selected Talladage went to the Loading circle and still loading after 1/2hour.  However, I can hear the show in the background.

Any suggestions?  Thanks Ed

Re: Revue and Crackle

Hello Edjan,

Do apologize for the lengthy delay.

Here is a requirement from the Crackle FAQ :

Make sure you are using one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer version 7, Internet Explorer version 8, and Firefox version 3. If your browser is not on the list, we do not provide support.

In Revue, we use chrome so it is not known whether they have optimized the site to support it.

 Source : http://www.crackle.com/outreach/faq

I am not telling you that it is because of chrome you are running into this problem. I am just referring to their requirements.

You can also try changing the resolution of the video to see if it helps resolve the buffering issue. On the right hand side of the player, you should see a small resolution choice menu. Choose that and see if you can select a lower resolution.

We have had success with a few people changing this setting.

Let us know how it goes.
