You can use any app with DLNA server capabilities (like TwonkyMobile) for Android / iOS to make them compatible with DLNA clients. This will allow you to stream from the phones using Logitech Media Player. However, there are no transcoding capabilities on the Android clients, so the media must be natively compatible with Google TV.  Also, the Logitech Revue isn't a DLNA Push capable client and therefore the "Play To" features are not compatible yet.

Re: Streaming (DLNA) from Android or Iphone to Revue ?

Up until last month when I moved and had to redo my network and electronics I was able to "push" pictures and video from my Galaxy 1 & 3 to the Revue using imediashare or twonky beam.  I don't know what happened now but the Revue no longer shows up as a DLNA player. I have tried to recreate my old network and use the same router but I can't get the Revue to be listed anymore.  The only thing different is that I have Fios instead of comcast but I kept the same wireless router. Any suggestions?  The other thing I noticed is that on the list of my connected devices to the router, the Revue is listed and some obscure network name - it used to identify itself as "Logitech revue". I can't find a setting to change the network name.

Thanks

Re: Streaming (DLNA) from Android or Iphone to Revue ?

Hi Everyone,

I completely understand your situation I will be more than glad to help you with any concerns you might have about our Logitech Revue.

Our Logitech Media Player should work with any DLNA certified server software, or any DLNA certified NAS device. Below are some of the common DLNA servers that should work with Logitech Media Player:

  • Logitech Media Server
  • Windows Media Player (11 or higher)
  • Tversity
  • Twonky
  • Media Tomb
  • Mini DLNA

NOTE: This is not an exhaustive list of DLNA servers that should work with Logitech Media Player; other DLNA servers may work. The inclusion of the products listed in this article does not imply any endorsement by Logitech. Not all of the products listed above are supported on all computer operating systems.

If you are not able to find your DLNA Server please follow the steps below:

Detecting DLNA servers on my Revue

My DLNA server does not show up in my Logitech Media Player sources

If a source or media server is not available in Logitech Media Player:

  1. From the Home bar, go to All Apps > Logitech Media Player.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Media Sources, then select Refresh located at the bottom of the screen.

If a DLNA server is not detected, please check the following :

  • DLNA server is powered on.
  • Verify that your media server is a DLNA-compatible device.
  • DLNA server is connected to the same network as your Revue, using a wired or wireless connection.
  • DLNA server is configured to share content on the network.
  • Check security settings (Firewalls).
  • Enable UDP on your router.

I hope all of this information was useful.

Kind regards,

Camacho

Re: Streaming (DLNA) from Android or Iphone to Revue ?

Hello. I use ArkMC on my Galaxy Tab as server.

It works with Revue. I like creating paylists feature.
