I have no problem wanting to leave my Revue on but the fan is extremly loud anyway to cool it down with having to turn it off? The fan is kinda unbearable in a quite room.

If your Revue isn't in an enclosed space, then it is possible that it is defective. You shouldn't be able to hear the fan with reasonable ambient noise. The only reason why the fan would be loud otherwise is if it is unable to exhaust the heat properly. This is usually due to being place in an cabinet or space where there isn't enough airflow.

I had a refurbished Revue and it was loud from day 1. It was placed in wide open area on top of a carbinet. I could turn it upside down, front on top side on top and all resulted in more quiet condition. I judged it was defective and had it replaced. The replacement was much better and more inline with the noise of a laptop computer.
