I use gmail video chat just wanted to know if its possible when using the logitech cam?? Thanks

Hello itsallaboutp;

The Logitech Vid app is  currently the only supported video chat application on the Revue and it only functions with the Logitech TV Cam. As an additional note, the Logitech TV Cam only works with the Logitech Vid app on the Revue and is not supported on Logitech Vid or any other video chat application on Windows or Macintosh OS based computers.

That is not cool at all. So i can only chat with people with the revue. hmmm hope this gets an update because its not worth buying the HD camera just for show.

No, you can talk to anyone running the Vid software. I think the former post was saying the TV Cam is only compatible with the revue. i.e.  not for plugging into your PC and using the Vid Software on the PC.   (The  TV Cam does some additional processing on the video to offload the revues processor a PC doen't need this extra processing)

You say running the video software. but what about someone with skype or yahoo messanger or gtalk it would make no sense to only be able to use with their software.

Sorry about that, I was responding to your statment about only being able to video chat with other revue's.  You can video chat on any platform that has the vid software.

   But for the others, Gmail uses a plugin and the revue doesn't support plug ins.    The others like skype etc won't come untill the market is released and then he various venders will have make sure their apps ar ported to the GTV platform.
