The volume buttons (keyboard or android app) have been working to control the volume on my receiver just fine until today. The volume coming out of my Review and going to my receiver has always been a little too high, which resulted in poor audio quality. I decided to look into the settings today to see if I could fix that. It was easy enough. There are volume settings just like in Android, and I turned down Revue the volume slightly.
Now the volume buttons only control the Revue volume, not that of my receiver. I tried removing and re-adding my receiver. No change. The keyboard configuration says that the volume buttons are configured to adjust the volume on my receiver, but that's not what they are doing. I've rebooted, and it's still just adjusting the software volume, and not sending the signals to my reveiver. How do I make it go back to the way it was?

Well, I figured it out. The volume buttons will only control receiver volume when the Review volume is set to maximum. Lame.
I guess I'm stuck with the clipping. It's a pity. Turning down the volume slightly resulted in much improved sound quality.
