The XBMC android app is reliant on NDK (native development kit) - and as such it won't currently work with GTV. Google TV doesn't currently support NDK - Google has mentioned that they plan on adding NDK support to GTV sometime in the future - although no firm timeline was given. The other solution would be if XBMC develops an app specifically for GTV.

Here's a link to an article about XBMC on android from Wikipedia:

From the Wikipedia article:

"XBMC for Android is a full port of the complete XBMC application to Google's Android operating-system, was first announced and its source code released publicly on 13 June 2012. This is a full port of XBMC's C++ and C source code with all its dependencies to Android with a build-system that was designed to handle multiple processor architectures, like ARM, MIPS, and x86 with the Android NDK without using a single line of Java, and the APK running nativly under Android as a NativeActivity application."

Re: XBMC coming to Android (fingers crossed it will work for us too)

GTVHacker has a workaround for porting NDK apps to GTV. Since the source code for XBMC has been made publicly available - perhaps someone with a bit of programming knowledge could see if they could get XBMC to work on GTV using the GTVHacker NDK workaround? It's beyond my area of expertise - but here's the link to the GTVHacker NDK workaround in case anyone is interested:

Amo Navi-x insted of XBMC for Logitch Revue

Yes that is correct it works, for some time now I have been tring to make XBMC work on the Revue but nothing nada. But then I start reding about amo Navi-x and a light came on, this might work so I tried here are my findings

  1. You will not be able to download this from the Play store

  2. To install amo Navi-x there are 2 ways

  • In a computer look in the Internet for Amo Navi X.apk download it to a usb in the computer and side load on the Revue

  • Or do like I have and install Aptoide (this is and alternate apk store) in the Revue. And from Aptoide look Amo Navi X.apk for and install it.

  1. Once you do this you are ready to go, I hope this helps everyone, I know this make me happy I hope it does the same to you.

Amo Navi-x the best program for the Revue!!!!!!
