I found a DLNA program that supports streaming .mkv files WITHOUT transcoding them first.
The program is called Serviio, worked good on a TV show. I will try a .mkv that has DTS audio and see what happens

Good luck with the DTS mkvs.. or any that have multiple audio tracks.. It's not going to work unless it does some transcoding on the server side. The codec support isn't there on the google tv.

Streaming of .mkv worked out of the box for me. I was quite impressed by the quality too.
I am running mediatomb and ubuntu 64 and this required no extra configuration.

It's not working with the mkv's I have either. Actually, I can see the picture but there's no sound. Also, the mpg's I've made from mkv's using MKV2VOB don't even get that far. I get the message that the file cannot be played.

I noticed that the mpgs made with VOB2PS3 arent supported yet by the logitech app which makes me angry!
Has anyone tried a mkv with multipe audio?
