I have been a happy Wilife customer of 3 yrs. I was looking to upgrade my security system with the new 750e/700i cameras. Having already been familliar with the installation and occasional issues with the Wilife cameras, I thought it would be a cake walk. To my utter dissapointment the installation was unable to detect any of my 3 cameras. I went thru all the troubleshooting actions in the documentation and still nothing. I spent almost 2hrs on the phone with tech support going thru all the troubleshooting procedures and still nothing. I emailed the diagnostic report to Logitech and will hopefully hear from them soon. One of the troubleshooting steps still sticks in my mind. It consisted of connecting each network adatper to the router. Of the 4 adapters, only one of them appeared to be communicationg with the router(blinking blue light). this may be an oversimplified assumption but to me if a network adatper cannot communicate with the router, it would also mean that when attached to the camera and plugged in the wall, it probably would not be able to communiacte with the adapter plugged into the router to dialog with it. So to me, I have 3 bad network adapters and thus 3 non-operational cameras. Can anyone here confirm or shoot down my assumption - appreciate it - Ron

Hello Ron,
You will only connect 1 network adapter for up to 6 Alert cameras. It will have a blue square around the ethernet plug. Then have this plugged directly in the wall and directly into the router. Then plug one of your new cameras into another outlet in the same room as the network adapter and see if the Logitech Alert Commander can find the Alert camera. If not do a factory reset on the camera and let us know what the LEDs change colors to on the bottom of the camera.
Also try unplugging the camera and taking out the SD card and plug the camera back in without the SD card and see if the camera is detected then.

I took the microSD card out of the camera, plugged it in and as soon as I saw the blue light blinking I knew it was going to work. Did the same thing to all cameras and all are working. Once the camera was discovered/working, I put the microSD card back in and all seems well. On a side note - I was told that any of the adapters could be connected to the router to act as a network adapter. Anyway, thanks Cat!!

Hello Ronit,
You can, but only the ones with yellow around the ethernet plug provide power.
