I am looking at buying the Logitech 750e Outdoor Master System. My question is do I have to have a running PC to be able to remote in and fully use all the remote features? I have a laptop in the house that I will use when I'm there but it doesn't run 24/7 and often times will travel with me.
Also, and I'm sure I can find this with a little more research but these cameras work wirelessly correct? I know they need power but they don't have to run to a router or anything like that?
Thanks!

The beauty of the Alert system is that all of the Online Viewing functions are available, even if the computer is offline. As long as the Cameras have been properly setup once using the Alert Commander software, you will be able to view no matter what the Commander computer is doing.
The cameras use HomePlugAV technology to communicate with the Adapter over your Powerlines. They do not use WiFI, and do require a router to be running.

So just so I understand.
The camera talks to the Adaptor, the Adaptor then talks to the router and finally, the router talks to me on a remote computer or smartphone anywhere I have an internet connection??
Thanks

That's exactly right.
The camera is basically a standalone device on your network. Once it's configured, it'll do it's thing without another PC running on the network.

But if settings are retained on the device itself, what happens when the power goes out? Are they retained? Is there room for a battery to ensure settings are safe?

@nickyoung,
Yes, the settings are retained on the device, even through a power outage. No need for a battery.
