I remote viewing one of my cameras via VLC. I have port 554 forwarded. What do I have to do to see a second camera? I can only port forward 1 port 544...

thats what I am trying to figuring out.

you have to use the port triggering or port forwarding whatever your firewall support.

Your firewall will listen to port 555 and forward that to internal ip to port 554.

I have verizon fios firewall and still trying to figure this out that how to implement that.

because forwarding the port is not a problem, but when you call rtsp:// it kind of ingore any port you specify at the end. and only use port 554

Normally you don't need to deal with ports for this...only if the simple RTSP doesn't work due to your router config....example :

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" rtsp://192.168.123.123/LowResolutionVideo

Just substitute your camera IP above...no problem for multiple cameras/IPs running at once either.  If you have password protected your local camera network, then more has to be added to that call.

FYI...If you have Win7 and VLC v2.0, you may need to go to an older VLC...seems to be an issue with that combo.

OP uses "remote viewing" in the sentense and I assume he need to view this outside the internal network.

This is also an issue for me as well. I do have "ip camera" andriod app and have static ip address.

I can easily access one camera as my firewall open port 554.

What do I do for the other cameras? my router always forward the traffic to one internal ip when rtsp called (in this case port 554).

Sorry guys, I'm not knowledgeable enough on port forwarding to help here ( just never had to do it )...but others here may know.  You can search the Alert forum...may be better clues or folks there to help.
