Logitech Revue Moderators Gone?

id242 pointed out the following designations beside our trusty moderators' names in their posts:

CatLogitech - Retired Logitech Employee / Moderator (Inactive)

Kiruban - Retired Logitech Employee / Moderator (Inactive)

Can someone from Logitech weigh in on what this means?

Steve

Re: Logitech Revue Moderators Gone?

since they moved this to somewhere no one will see it in the future, i would say it is just one more indication that the revue is dead and we will not get it fixed after they broke it. really sad for sure.

Re: Logitech Revue Moderators Gone?

Cat and Kiruban are no longer with Logitech, although they have mentioned to me that they may continue to participate in our community from time to time. Our support specialist LMacNeil will continue to participate in the Revue boards.

That's almost hilarious as LMacNeil has 0 (Zero) total messages posted.  You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for what you have done to your Revue customers.

Re: Logitech Revue Moderators Gone?

LMacNeil has previously worked with our customers via phone and email support , but he is new to our community. He will begin participating soon.

Please note that while Logitech employees participate in this peer to peer support community, it is not positioned as an official support channel. Please go to http://revue.logitech.com/support if you'd like to contact our Revue support team via phone, email or text chat.

"it is not positioned as an official support channel"

Why is it listed under SUPPORT on all the official pages?

"If a reply adequately addresses your technical issue, please click on the "Accept as Solution" and "Give Kudos" button so this information can benefit other users via search."

Where are these buttons?

Hi id242,

The forums community is an ideal environment for peer to peer collaboration, but it is difficult to track a specific technical issues when several conversations are happening at the same time in a discussion thread. If you are unable to find peer support via these forums, please open a ticket with our support department directly so that they can better serve you.

The Kudos button is located on the left hand side of the message (under user ID and avatar), and the Accepted Solutions button is located on the lower right hand corner of the message (next to the reply button). Only the thread starter is able to click on the "Accepted Solutions" button. For more information on these forum features, please see our Get Started FAQ.

"Kudos button is located on the left hand side of the message (under user ID and avatar)"

This button does not appear while signed in. For us to see and/or use the button, we need to sign OUT of our accounts.

Does this really make sense as to how it should be?

Re: Logitech Revue Moderators Gone?

Hi id242,

This is happening because you have the "Hide Kudos buttons and counts" preference option checked. To uncheck this option, please do the following:

1. Click on "My Settings" on the upper right hand corner of the screen (next to your screen name and "Sign Out")

2. Click on the Preferences tab

3. Click on the Kudos sub tab

4. Uncheck "Hide Kudos buttons and counts"

AntonC, again, thank you for your quick reply.

To get back on topic, when can we expect the new moderators of the Logitech Revue forums to begin offering support for topics which the "peer-to-peer support community" is unable to assist with?

With 100,000 - 500,000 installs, that is a lot of people without a functioning product.
