Last night I bought a Logitech C270, white color with design and it says on the box that it's Limited Edition, here in Dubai. I will send this to my wife back to our home country as a gift. It came to my mind to check it late that night. By the way, I also have another C270 ( Gray Color w/ no design) which I bought last July, 2011. I was impressed on the output quality of my first C270, not pixelated, nice brightness even with low light and very clear, almost like a digicam.

I was so impressed with the quality that I am convinced to buy another one for my wife. But as soon as plugging the webcam to my laptop and showing the output on the Logitech software, I got embarrassed with the quality that it shows. It's way beyond the quality of my first C270. You can see faint lines specially when the light is a bit dim which makes the picture a bit noisy. These things did not happen on my first C270. I already exchanged with a new unit but still the quality is not good. I feel like I was cheated.

What happened to the quality control of Logitech? Thinking that this is limited edition or its limited because of manufacturing defects! I was thinking that the same quality will be seen with each webcam of the same model. But to my dismay, it is not.

I hope that next time all your product's quality will be consistent or else lose your reputation.

Funny thing, I experienced the same problem. My C270 bought in summer 2011 works perfectly (nice image even in low light). So, last month, I bought one for my parents but the image is not as good (vertical lines appears in front of the subject). With very good light it's barely visible but it's nowhere as good as mine (both webcams tested on the same computer).

Some relative has also  those problems with his cam bought a few months ago. Seems that Logitech is unable to build a consistent product (deficient quality control ?).
