Unifying receiver ideas

I love the unifying receiver, it helps in an age where everything us USB to cut down on clogged ports. But I have a few ideas.
1. Add your wireless headsets into the product line.
2. Make the unifying receiver "pass through" so it essentially does not even take up a USB port because it has one on it that can be plugged into.

Is there any way to make the UNIFYING receiver work for pervious keyboards/mice? For two years, I have had a combo (Y-RAU7 & M-RAZ105) that I love - except for the stupid cord. In order to use the Unifying receiver, I would have to toss the keyboard and mouse, then buy new ones. It is such a wasteful idea.
I would be glad to purchase the Unifying but not if I have to replace with new equipment.

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately, currently it's not possible to use the Unifying receiver with non-Unifying keyboards/mice.
