another standard format gaming mouse

[ Edited ]

I registered for the sole purpose of pestering Logitech until they give us another standard format gaming mouse.

- I don't want a mouse that differs substantially from the standard issue office-type mouse in form - I use one of those all day long, so coming home to use something different is silly.  (and no, you can't bring some wierd-shaped mouse to work - it'll get stolen in a matter of days)

- I don't want 10 million buttons.  The standard 2 buttons, scroll wheel, sensitivity adjustment, and 2 side buttons (very useful for web browsing) were a great compromise and just about perfect for shooters.

- "Sculpted" styling interferes with the "claw style grip" for many users.  The indentions on the "sculpted" style mouse are right where claw users want to place their thumbs and pinky fingers - instead, there is no "there" there.  Parts sticking out of the mouse that contact anything other than my fingertips simply get in the way.

- The G3 was one of the few really solid-feeling gaming mice available, and has a proven track record of durability.  I have seen dozens of other G-series mice die, some within a week or two of coming out of the box.  I have never seen a G3 die.

Come on, Logitech?   Do a simple Google search.  Look at how many people are trying to find a mouse like the G3.   For crying out loud, look at the people selling replacement parts for them on Ebay!

G300 simply isn't going to cut it either - it's not just the ambidextrous nature of the mouse that created fans, it's that it explicity wasn't overly "ergo".

Why will you not make us a mouse like this?  WHY?

We're literally sitting here waiting to throw our money at you.
