Not offering a full download is going to annoy so many people, I can't understand why you insist on going with this "smart driver" format.

Many people behind enterprise firewalls can't update, as the ports the installer uses to request the additional components are blocked. (yes that's me)

There are a lot of computers without an internet connection.

If you absoluetly have to save bandwidth, divide the files up into "keyboards and mice" and "webcams and audio".

not to get the people at logitech annoyed, but unfortunately, I have to and love to agree with the poster above and the rest of people who got annoyed with the so-called "smart" web installer. I never fully understand how an online installer will save bandwidth significantly. Those who use online installer will do it repeatedly if they have lots of computer. If there is an offline installer, they will only download it once, and use it for the other computers as well.

I am mega annoyed when I found out that I was only downloading 2.5MB. My guess was that logitech followed the trend that most of people hate so much - online installer - and it is indeed true.

Hi,

When I download the full version

- I get the 6.20 version

- I do not get the 6.22 version

After the installation of this 6.20 version

- I do not get the pictures of my mouse and keyboard when I start Setpoint

- I get error messages that an internet connection is missing

I have really had it with Logitech now !

- How can you be so stubborn ?

- How can you continue doing what your users hate so much ?

Hello Zwanzer,

 I'm sorry you are having a frustrating experience with set point. Please try the following :  Right click on the program shortcut or program .exe file, and click on Run as administrator. (This will allow you to temporarily run the program as an administrator once until you close it.) If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes to apply permission to allow the program to run with full permission as an administrator. This should allow your mouse and keyboard images to display.

NOTE: If you are doing this is while logged in as standard user instead of an administrator, then you will need to provide the administrator's password before the program will run as administrator.

This solution is for Windows 7 and Vista versions.

As for the version displaying as 6.20 and not 6.22, 6.22 displays as control center version 6.20.50 .  If You have further questions or issues please feel free to private message me .

Is it so difficult to keep things simple ?

Have you any idea what you do to your customers with these confusing stupidities ?

I am done with Setpoint and I am done with Logitech.

From now onwards I'll buy mice and keyboards from a vendor who provides offline drivers with an unambiguous version number.

I apologize for your frustration. At the moment, we are having a few difficulties with the latest Setpoint software release (6.22 - smart installer). Please install our previous full installer version (6.20 - 32-bit/64-bit) for the mean time, until the issues have been resolved.

This is no help because 6.20 needs an Internet connection as well !

I need a full package that can be installed offline without the need for an Internet connection for whatever unexplainable reason.

Sorry that this is a few months late, but FileHippo has 6.20 full package--so no need for internet-based installation.
