Cable to connect MP3 player to the X-140 speakers

Where in the name of all that is holy can I find the cable logitech so kindly did not mention when I bought my speakers? The little booklet says I need a 3.5 mm cable to connect my player to the speakers. No mention of where to get it of course....

The magical cable you speak of should is (or should be) included with the speaker set.  The green colored plug . . . . plug it directly into the iPod, or whatever your desired source is.

The little booklet says that the cable is needed, but not included...too bad the website doesn't bother to tell you that. Can someone send me a link to the type of cable I need?

Re: Cable to connect MP3 player to the X-140 speakers

Nope...the only thing the box had in it was the speakers and a little booklet telling me I needed a cable to connect my MP3 player to the speakers and that no, they did not provide it. None of which was mentioned in the specs for the speakers when I looked them up on the logitech website

Re: Cable to connect MP3 player to the X-140 speakers

Hi ete,

There should be a cable coming from thr back of one of the speakers that will connect to the music source. This will have a 3.5mm plug on the end. This connects to your ipod, mp3 player, computer.

There is no special cable needed that I know of. This may have been language from a previous product that was not deleted when the X-140 QSG was written.

Thank you for your post.

Re: Cable to connect MP3 player to the X-140 speakers

No Mike, there is not. In the front of the right speaker is a place to connect the MP3 player to the spear...but no cable was included. I just need to know why the cable was not included and what do I need to look for when I go in search of the item. I would not have gotten the speakers if I had known the cable did not come with them. So give me a clue here so I can find the cable that was not mentioned as not being included.

Re: Cable to connect MP3 player to the X-140 speakers

Hi, do you have the speakers hooked up to the computer? The same jack can work with your MP3 player. The aux input on the side requires this kind of cable, a male to male 3.5mm.

You can get them at your local harware or electronics store.
