Logitech Pure-fi anywhere sound shuts off after 1 minute when using external audio jack

It seems like this is happening to others, also,  Obviously, this is a major flaw. I bought this not just to play the iPod.  When the logitech pure-fi anywhere, even while on AC power, is connected to my MacBook via the 3.5mm audio, while playing a movie, the logitech pure-fi anywhere will power down after 1 minute.

Hi pab,

Does it still do this after resetting the Pure-Fi Anywhere?

Mike,

Thanks for the quick response.  I've read the directions, and I see no guidance on a "Reset".  If not too much effort, could you explain.  Thanks in advance.

Re: Logitech Pure-fi anywhere sound shuts off after 1 minute when using external audio jack

Hi pab,

Sorry for not including that. There is a pin hile on the bottom of the speaker. Using a papervlip or ball point pen tip, press in for one or two secconds. This will reset you speakers to factory default.

Re: Logitech Pure-fi anywhere sound shuts off after 1 minute when using external audio jack

I was having the problem described in the original post with m Pure-Fi Anywhere 2. I reset to factory defaults, and the behaviour did not change. I also want to know if there is a way to use the external audio jack while there is an iPod docked for charging (that is not playing music).

Thanks.
