The Z5500 was a really good setup. But sadly its only 33hz hence it has problem playing certain songs like Crunk music and Hip Hop etc.
I till this date cannot understand why Logitech cannot create a setup that goes to atleast 25hz like how Klipsch did.
How hard could it possibly be and how expensive could it be to have just made the Z5500 SUB 25hz capable.
I would pay the extra money for it.
Also thety need to makea removable grill for the Sub and decorate it with gold plate like how Klipsch systems are.
Come on Logitech we know you all can do it.

I would pay $50 USD max more for a sub that goes to 25hz.
so if a Z5500 is $200 US on Amazon I would gladly pay $250 for the same thing but with a 25hz sub instead of 33hz. Plus where I live has no vat and duty on PC parts so this is quite excellent considering how much I would pay for an actuall Klipsch or kenwood.
heck for $50 USD more I am sure they could make a 20HZ sub that would be awesome. Also I want a removable sub grill and make sure its Gold plated the actuall sub like how klipsch does it. Also I want a 200 RMS sub please. Kinda forget all those 300RM sats we are not deaf for christ sakes logitech. Anyone who uses those sats at 300 RMS is a disturbed person I rather the money be invested in a better lower sub.
Come on Logitech you can do it.
I have faith that this great company can deliver a sub of atleast 20 to 25hz.

What do you mean by "25hz"? Do you mean flat response down to 25hz, +/- 3db? I don't think I can name a single retail subwoofer under $500 that can do that.
The only widely available online product I can think of is the Hsu STF-1, which is $350, with a frequency response graph below (-3db at 23hz). The AV123 X-Sub was $200, but is no longer in production. There's an enthusiast product called the Scamp-10 which has been in development for ages, but I can't see it going for any less than $180.

As far as 20hz? You mean like this? (-3db at 20hz). Good luck finding a retail product under $1,000...the least expensive complete kit I've found online is the SVS NSD-10, and that's $430.

**bleep**???
So expensive it is just to go to 20 hz?
I saw a Kenwood 12" Speaker 1000 watts on Amazon for $66US and it was rated at 20hz.
I could never understand why Car audio is so much cheaper than home audio. I heard my friend Alpine type R car audio and it really blows out the Z5500.
Heck I heard cheapo Audiopipe 12 Inch sound lower and deeper than the Z5500. And they only cost like $40 US.
What if I remove the Speaker from my Z5500 and I replace it with a 10" kenwood thats rated at 20hz?
Arrrr you see what I have been saying all these years man?
This is yet another reason people migrate to the white man country. Its because of stupid things like this. Things called Vat and Duty.

There are no subwoofers under $300 online and under $500, more like $600 USD retail that go flat to 25hz. Period. All of that mass market junk down there claim 20hz don't even go flat to 40hz.
Here's an example. Velodyne is considered a very high quality retail brand. This is their lineup.
$400 DLS-3500R: 35hz (-3db).
$500 DSL-3750R: 28hz(-3db)
$600 DSL-4000R: 25hz (-3db).
$3,600 JL Fathom F-113 18hz (-3db)
Online brands are a lot cheaper, because they don't have to pay for rental space (i.e., it costs money to put it on display at a store). The HSU STF-1 gets you down to 28hz (-3db) for only $300. The HSU STF-2 hits 25hz (-2db) at $400.
$200 AV123 X-sub: 30hz (-3db)
$300 HSU STF1: 28hz (-3db)
$350 Hsu STF2: 25hz (-2db)
$429 SVS NSD10: 20hz (-3db)
$1000 SVS PB-12: 16hz (-3db)
$1700 SVS PB13: 10hz (-3db)

I don't know how old you are, but in the US, around 10th grade (16 years old?) they teach you in physics that power intensity increases logarithmically. For twice the amount of something, you need about 4 times amount of power, for four times amount of something, you need 16 times the amount of power. For six times amount, you need 36 times the input power, on and on. Physics is physics. To build something that withstands a lot of force, you need a lot of strength and durability. A high end subwoofer easily weighs 150+ pounds. I believe the Logitech subwoofer is somewhere in the region of 30 pounds.
Those Kenwood subs you are looking at are garbage. Here is an example of a quality $150 pre-built subwoofer you can find from a well-known DIY parts company, Dayton. As you can see, disregarding the already poor response in the 60hz range, the subwoofer loses significant output at 40hz and below. Again, whatever you were looking at was garbage. I'd be surprised if it went flat to 50hz.
