I am looking to replace my z5500 sub, but i have been told that if the sub i am using was manufactured at a different time than my control pod, then the center channel will not work?? I do not fully understand this and this is the first i have heard of it, but I do not want to buy a subwoofer on ebay and have the center channel not work.
This is elaborated on a bit in the description of the ebay auction seen here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item
If someone who actually works for logitech could elaborate on this and clear it up for me that would be awesome. So, if i buy a sub manufactured from the same time as my control pod the center channel will work? How can you tell when the control pod and sub were made?
Again, any input on this subject is greatly appreciated.

I just read that the compatibility of systems is reliant on the PID #? My system is PID 028, does anybody know what PID #s are compatible with that?

Ok, did some more research and i have confirmed that the PID # R028 is compatible with #s R001-R200.
However, i have also read that logitech has "rolled over" their PID #s and my PID # is also compatible with any part of a system that is post PID # R636?? this has not been confirmed. if someone could confirm this that would be great!

Hi goudd22,
That is correct, all systems with a PID post R636 are compatible with each other.
