Hello. Please can anyone help me with these queries?? I am not a novice, and caan usually solve these things myself, but these have me beaten!!!
1. Is there any way of lowering the relative volume of JUST the subwoofer?? my setup is fine, but the bass can be overpowering!!!
2. What is the best way to connect a new, LCD flatscreen to get 5.1 surround? is it the digital co-ax? what sort of lead would I need??
Thank you everyone!!!

There are two types of digital audio outputs.
Optical that uses a Toslink Cable.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOSLINK
The other is Digital Coaxial Output.
Your users manual for the LCD should give you the information needed.
I believe the Optical with Toslink is more common.
I have a Toslink cable on my Vizio LED TV to a small digital to analog converter since my Z2300s don't have any digital inputs.

To reduce volume of Subwoofer, press the level button on the Control Pod till only the right side icon representing Subwoofer is illuminated. Then reduce the volume using the Volume control. This will reduce the relative volume of Subwoofer.
