Logitech S-150 USB Speakers Don't work correctly.

As the subject of this post is, they do not work correctly. They have audio output, very loud, as well as the volume control being horrible. I was recently here, and somehow was able to chat with a rep. about the speakers. Since they were under warranty. And I want to continue using them, they sent a replacement. I have tried the new set that came to my door. Still the problem continues.

On the box, it says windows vista, so naturally they should work with 7, or at least that's how everything else I have works.

I am on Windows 7 64 Bit home premium. On a HP Pavilion. Both set of speakers install the drivers through windows update, and both have the same problem. I went so far as to try them on my other computer, which runs windows vista 32 Bit. And this time, the volume is very low, but with the same volume control problems.

on the volume meter that you can control with windows, on the number scale, from 1-10 is a decent volume, but still needs to be adjustable for some of the softer videos and music. From 11-81 the volume doesn't change gradually at all. It is the same volume up until you hit 82, which it then gets considerably louder. But from then up to 100 volume, it will not gradually get louder. I have tried reinstalling the drivers for the speakers, and still nothing. The only way to get any volume to stay in a decent range is to change the program's volume in the system mixer. This is a roundabout solution, and doesn't always stick. As well as with different videos and music files, the volume is not going to be the same so I'm almost always adjusting the volume anytime I watch a movie or play a song.

I believe that if these speakers had proper manufacture drivers, they would work correctly. Besides what I have tried, is there true fix or is the product not compatible with my system somehow?

Re: Logitech S-150 USB Speakers Don't work correctly.

Im having the same problem as well. I took my set back to the store I bought it from, they let me trade it for a second set. To no avail the problems are still there. They are nice and convient speakers, just need to be able to controll the volume with them better.
