I plugged these speakers into my MBP and nada. I plugged them into my iPhone and they work. **bleep**? Why don't they work with the Macbook Pro headphone jack? Should I return these?

Hi jayrogers,
If the speakers are working on another device, then they are not the cause of the issue, returning them wouldn't solve the problem. First thing to check, have you gone into Apple > System Preferences > Sound > Output and made sure to select the external speakers/headphone jack?

System Options > Sound > Output - Headphone Port - Plug speakers into headphone port > BOOM! That's not your Mac going BOOM, it's your MIND! I just figured it out & if I can do that on 3 scotches, you shouldn't have any trouble!
Peace ohhhn tha streets SAAN! Yeah
