Hello. On Friday I'm going to buy the Logitech Z-5500 Speakers. But I have a little question: Can I connect those Speakers to my Laptop, Because, I've seen some people having problems with the 5.1 Connecting on their Laptop.
Sincerely,
Stephan Z

Yes you can connect it to your laptop through the green jack and select PL2 Music Effect. Still it won't sound to good, like conecting it to a dedicated sound card. I suggest you to buy an external sound card to get the real power of the z5500. Search on youtube, there are alot of vids with z5500 and you can see the effects.

Like I told you before,if you use the green jack and select Pl2 music you will get surround, but the speakers won't sound good. C-media is not the best option for sound,go for the Creative X-FI 5.1 External. And that splitter in picture 2 can't help you.

I agree with Audiophile. If you can afford Z5500 surely you can spend a little more for a Creative X-Fi 5.1 Surround USB which will give you a true surround from your laptop.
