Logitech Z623 speakers help connecting to TV

I recently bought Logitech Z623 speakers and I am trying to connect them to my TV.

I bought these cables to connect them but it's not working? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330622529635?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

If I bought the wrong types of cables, can someone please link me to the correct type?

First thing to do is look carefully at your TV's Users Manual.

Most do not have any analog audio outputs.

Verify the RCA jacks you tried are outputs. My thoughts are, they may have been Inputs.

If the TV has a digital or optical audio output. They do make converters from digital or optical audio to stereo analog audio.

One other thought. Does the TV have a headphone jack? Many do not anymore.

I have a new Sony Bravia, what do you mean as in inputs and outputs?

Inputs are connections from things like DVD players  that send signals into the TV.

Outputs would be signals the TV sends out to things like external speakers or Home Theater Receivers.

To connect your Z623's to your Sony. You need audio outputs.

Most likely they will be digital as most modern TV's don't have analog audio outputs anymore.

Your Sony TV's Manual should have diagrams of all the connections on it and a description of what each one is.
