today I replaced my broken logitech z-5500 set with a brand new in box logitech z-5300e system. I use these speakers primarily for bass music, and i have found that i prefer the sound of the z-5300e over the z-5500. The z-5500 has some things that the z-5300e doesn't such as a "less cheap" feel, and obviously it has more power, but it lacks the punchiness of the z-5300e, and punchiness is one of the most important factors to me in speaker selection. 

has anyone had a samiliar experience regarding preferring the 5300 over the 5500 in some way? I've read posts by people saying "the 5300s aren't in the same league as the 5500s" and whatnot. that's why i was so suprised when i used these today.
