Hi, I purchased the z506 5.1 surround sound system yesterday and have connected it to my Panasonic TX-P42UT30B TV via the red and white RCA connection to Audio Out on the TV. I am getting sound from the system fine (although not great quality tbh), but my issue is that I have no control of the speakers via my TV remote.
I have also tried using the 3.5mm headphone jack with the same results - cant control the speaker volume with my TV remote. This means my only means of adjusting the volume is by adjusting the knob on the actual speaker, which as you can imagine in quite frustrating.
So basically, I would like to know is there any way around this? Any sort of adapter or anything I can use to control the speakers via the TV remote? I have checked the TV menu options, but there is nothing to allow me to select externel speakers etc. as the speaker source ![]()

Hi JohnG89,
Unfortunately this speakers are not design to be used with a remote. And since there is not an Infra Red receiver on the speakers an adapter won't help you control them with the TV remote.
Kind regards
