Looking for a z5500 control pod with a PID of R-001-R-200

Mine just croaked...all it does is display MUTE ON OVER TEMP no matter what.  Funny thing is if I HOLD the power button on, it will somewhat work until I release it. By somewhat work I mean it will not allow any setting changes or volume adjustments but will play whatever is being sent over coax no problemo.  Anyone got one?

Actually if I understnad the rantings of the interwebs, any PID of 637 and up should be compatible.

I guess they rolled out a PID refresh a couple years ago and the R001+ numbers are a continuation of the wiring in the R637+ models.  Am I wrong Logitech?

Have you tried the reset procedure detailed at the end of this thread?

Just tried it a few timers and no dice.  Still mute on over temp.  It happened ever since I first had the system but I just wiggled the cable a bit and it would return function to normal.  I knew I had a decent replacement warranty so I waited.  Now I will be using that warranty it seems.

That's correct.

Any control unit can be used, however, there was a wiring change at PID 636.

Systems pre 636 will not work with control pods post 636.

The first number of the PiD is the year of manufacture, so PiD 636 was 2006, PiD 007 was 2010 etc.
