Hi, just bought a Mini Boombox and the sound keeps dropping out randomly when i'm using bluetooth.
Is this normal for bluetooth devices or am I likely to have a faulty unit?
I have tested it with my iphone and ipad and have the same problem. The sound will cut out and will either restart after 10 seconds etc or sometimes not at all.
I have ensured that bluetooth is enabled on one device only and also and i use the speaker in the same room as the ios device but still have the problems.
Does wi-fi or airplay interfere with the bluetooth signal?
Really like the speaker but just not worth having the way it is at the moment.
Thanks,
Neill

I have a mini boombox. Had it for almost six months now.
I am not really happy with it so far either. Connecting it to my phone, randomly it will just stop playing any sound. It will go dark and I have to wake it up by pushing on the top buttons and then reconnect it to my phone.
Does not work with my tablet. Not sure who's fault that is.

Just purchased the mini boombox. What a great... concept! However we have 4 devices, to randomly use. It made the bluetooth hookup right away on the first iPhone. However it will not connect to any of the other devices. And we have powered it down, powered down all the other devices, and fully charged the boombox. No success. We are attempting to have it connect to iPhone 4 and iPad 2 (second generation).
We do have a Jawbone Big Jambox, which works perfect with each of the above devices.
Perhaps we are learning why logitech's mini boombox is almost 1/2 price of the jawbone mini jambox.
Thank you in advance for any guideance you may offer.

No fix as of yet. Still having the problem. In an hour of music, I probably have to reconnect it to my phone six or seven times. Phone bluetooth works flawlessly with my car stereo, so I know it isn't my phone.
The speaker just blacks out all the lights when it happens. I try to keep it plugged in but that doesn't help either.

I purchased this mini boombox a few days ago and I am having the same trouble. It connects to my phone and MP4 no hassle, I use one or the other, and it randomly just stops. No sound, no lights. I have to switch it off then on again a few times to get any power.
I have had it charging for a few hours and plugged into the socket and it still shuts off!
If there is no fix, I will be returning mine for a refund, no point getting a replacement if its going to do the same thing!

I seem to be facing a similar problem. The unit worked fine for 3 weeks. All of a sudden it went quiet. It shows as connected on my sourcec device but produces no output. I tried disconnecting and unpairing it from my phone and tried to pair it again, but I find now that the speaker wont enter pairing mode.
I am currently using it as normal speakers with an auxiliary input.
I have written to Logitech and am waiting for an answer. Will let you know if I hear from them.

Had a few successful attempts and was happy with the sound, but now randomly when I connect to my iphone, the boombox just beeps and the volume drops all the way down or out.

I guess we're all just dead in the water on this one. I have my phone right next to the speaker, no wireless devices near either device at all. Tried unpairing and repairing multiple times. Logitech seems to be zero help.
I guess I will stick to buying keyboards and mice from Logitech. This speaker and the Revue were a major disappointment.
