Hello everyone, there is a rattling sound coming from the back of my logitech z5500 subwoofer. I have confirmed that it is coming from the inside of the sub.
Does anybody have an idea what this could possibly be? is it something that can be fixed? should i be worried about it?? it only happens on certain frequencies.
Thanks!!

Pull off the back and find out whats going on. If you've had them for over 2 years then it's out of warranty. Just follow the outside patter of screws to get the back off. Be careful pulling it off though since theres not much lag in the wiring. I'd suggest working on it on a table with at least a foot of space to lay down the amp behind it. From there check inside and see whats going on. Hope this helps.

k thanks for the advice.
also i have another question the bass on my sub is extremely muddy and not clear sounding. i bought this sub used so im thinking that might be why. i owned a z5300e and the bass was much clearer. The woofer on my z5500 doesn't move AT ALL despite how loud i have it so i think this might be related. Do you think my sub is partially blown? would a sub being partially blown make for muddy unclear bass and would that be related to the woofer not moving at all?
and in regards to iOS i've been using an iphone consistently since the days of the 3g. I was jailbroken years ago but not anymore. ask away with any questions

This exact thing happened to me last night after running it at near full power for 3-4 hours at a party. If I pull off the back do I void any warranties?

^ can't say. i read the thread you posted though and i would definitely call logitech customer support before doing anything.
