V20 speakers issues

Hello,

I am having an issue with my V20 speakers. After connecting the speakers to the USB port, they screech and emit some sharp noises, extremely loud and disturbing. The noise is almost destroying the speakers. After disconnecting and reconnecting the USB port they behave normally and perform flawlessly.

Is this a warranty issue? I love these speakers, they are incredible for a laptop system, but the behavior at startup is weird and annoying.

Regards,

Valer

Re: V20 speakers issues

Hello vbocan,

Please ensure your speakers are plugged directly in to your computers USB port and not in to a pass through device such as a USB hub.  If possible, please test your speakers on a different computer.  The V20 speakers do come with a two year warranty.  If your problem persists, please contact Customer Care in your region for further assistance and a possible warranty replacement.

I hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,

Re: V20 speakers issues

Hi dhelpard1OLD,

I have also recently purchased V20 speakers assuming that they would be compatable with my MacBook Air.

Although they power up on connecting with the USB port and I can control my iTunes playback and volume controls from the speaker, the internal speakers in my laptop are not bypassed and no sound comes through the speakers.

Have I missed something or are they simply not compatable ?

Thankyou,

Lindsay

Re: V20 speakers issues

Hello LindsayThomas,

You have to manually select your external speakers as your default playback device.  You can do this by performing the following actions on your Mac.  Click on the apple logo in the upper left hand corner of your screen, then click on system preferences.  In the hardware section, click on sound.  Once you are there, click on output and select the Logitech speaker as your default output device.

I hope this helps you out.

SIncerely,

Re: V20 speakers issues

Hello,

I recently purchased your V20 speakers.  The issue I have with them is that they sound like they are "blown" crackle and popping.  But only when the volume is turned up above 45 to 50 percent.  They are out of warranty.  I took them apart and the speakers seem to be ok.  I just wonder if something else might be wrong.  I did see a circuit board in the main speaker box, is there a replacement board if that one is broken?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Re: V20 speakers issues

Hello Bmurf,

Logitech does not sell replacement parts such as circuit board for their products.  If possible, please test your speakers on another computer to see if the problem persists.  Also, please ensure that your speakers are connected directly to your computers USB port and not in to a pass through device such as a USB hub.

I hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
