Windows Drivers for Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter?

I'm trying to pair my computer, that has a generic bluetooth usb, to my adapter but it fails the installation because it can't find any drivers.  Does anyone have the drivers, because I can't see seem to find them anywhere?

Re: Windows Drivers for Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter?

Hello Dabest12,

The drivers for the bluetooth wireless speaker adapter are supplied by the operating system and are not available for download as a stand alone software download.  Please ensure your operating system is currently up to date and allow your operating system to connect to the internet to download the appropriate drivers.

I hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,

Re: Windows Drivers for Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter?

Hi,

I have the same problem.

I'm using an up-to-date Windows 7 on my desktop PC.

My bluetooth dongle is the one provided with the MX5500 Revolution mouse/keyboard combo.

When I use the Bluetooth connection assistant provided by Setpoint, I can connect the Bluetooth Speaker Adapter (specifying no pairing code as it is not needed), but the newly connected device is not correctly recognized by the system. Windows is unable to provide an appropriate driver for the device (even when connecting automatically to fetch drivers online).

I'm trying to successfully connect to and use a Logitech bluetooth device using a Logitech bluetooth dongle.

I'm confident Logitech will be able to give me a solution to solve this issue :-)

Re: Windows Drivers for Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter?

Hello windar,

With out knowing exactly what Bluetooth device you are connecting to the MX5500 dongle I can only speculate as to what is stopping the connection. Bluetooth can have many different protocols http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_protocols . The newer Bluetooth audio devices require A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) this may be the driver that your operating system is looking for.  As for actually connecting an audio device the MX5500, this would be an unsupported configuration.

Best Regards,

Re: Windows Drivers for Logitech Bluetooth Speaker Adapter?

Hello,

yes I contacted support who told me the same thing. The bluetooth dongle of the MX5500 Revolution doesn't support A2DP.

thx
