I have the Logitech X-530 speakers and have used them for over a year. Since I moved to university I have noticed that sometimes the speakers give out static noise. It's a constant monotonous noise and is really annoying. It seems to happen completely randomly and can last from 5 seconds to around 30 seconds before ceasing. I have cleaned the connections and the problem persists. Here is the interesting bit, with no sound being played, the static is loudest when the volume nob is at min and max. I can barely hear a thing when the volume is in the middle. I find this extremely confusing. Can anyone explain what is going on?
EDIT: Even if I turn the speakers off and back on during one of these static moments, the static sometimes remains and seemingly turns off randomly.
I purchased these second hand so I am not sure if I can get a replacement, but if possible, how would I arrange a replacement.

Hello Nadez,
Please test your speakers on a different source such as an MP3 player. The X-530 speakers do come with a two year warranty. If your problem persists please contact Customer Care for your region for further assistance and a possible warranty replacement.
I hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,

Okay I will test this, can I still get a 2 year warranty if I bought it second hand? How do I check the warranty status without receipt?

Hello Nadez,
There are identifying markings on the speakers which can validate the warranty.
