Hi guys,
I just got a pair of the X540 speakers, and I'm trying to connect them to my macbok pro, but since I can only connect then to the headphone jack ( as far as I can see) I dont know what to do with the black, green and orange cord. How can I connect them?
Thanks

If you just want sound, connect the green one.
If you want 5.1 output, you would need an external box.

That depends on your setting.
Extract from the manual for X-540:
2-channel soundcard: Connect the green plug from the audio input cable to the “line out” jackon your sound card. Do not use the black or orange plugs. With a 2-channel sound card you will not hear sound from the rear speakers unless you activate Matrix mode
